Kia ora. My name is Pearl and I’ve been involved in Early Childhood Education for over 30 years – 21 of them at Olive Shoots!
Our mission statement is ‘to create a learning space of excellence for children and teachers to belong, believe, discover and grow’. I love working at Olive Shoots alongside our fantastic team of kaiako where we see this wonderful learning happening in an environment where we seek to live out and communicate our Christian faith. Russell and I have 4 adult children. Other pastimes are travelling, enjoying a coffee at a café, working on my Masters studies and mentoring the teachers and children in a Kindergarten in Papua New Guinea. It has also been a privilege on be on the Christian Early Childhood Education Association of Aotearoa (CECEAA) Exec for the last 7 years.
